Shockwave is not currently supported in Linux, Flash player is supported
If Macromedia can get a few thousand requests for Shockwave, they will port it... Hopefully

Did you try to use Scan Modem Tool. It will let you know what type of soft modem you have(if it is soft)

Salam,
looks like you have a soft modem. First you have to install its driver then you can use kppp or any other GUI interface like gnome dialer.
