Protocol is also different, and port is mostly USB these days :P Protocol is diff because many companies don't follow strict standards of implementing AT commands and GSM Modem functionality. Lambda, thanks that was very informative read, and by using piping with other commands its wonderful what little data dump can achieve us. But the issue with dd is that it also dumps the unused space, it makes raw dump which is not acceptable. Isn't there any thing more "intelligent" ? Tha...
