First understand the difference between DNS and DHCP. Pick your networking 101 book or some networking essentials book and read it thoroughly.

Check for two things. First, you don't have dns servers specified in squid.conf using the dns_nameservers directive. Squid should use the ones mentioned in /etc/resolv.conf. Secondly, check the the resolver ips in resolv.conf. Are they reachable? do they resolve properly? Say your dns ip is 192.168....
