Check for two things. First, you don't have dns servers specified in squid.conf using the dns_nameservers directive. Squid should use the ones mentioned in /etc/resolv.conf. Secondly, check the the resolver ips in resolv.conf. Are they reachable? do they resolve properly? Say your dns ip is 192.168....
