try booting from ur secondary hard disk.

u can use telnet as well.

yum -y install hping2

apt-get install hping2

hping your.client's.ip

there u go.

you can use hping utility.

its just like "yum check-update" you will need a valid internet connection.

if you are trying to install rpms from cd/dvd then you are in big problem fc6 does not have any GUI for adding/removing software from cd/dvd. you have to copy all your rpms to harddisk and then create a repo.
