compared to RH8 which takes forever to bootup on my poor celeron.

if you prefer the following is almost perfect replacement for network neighbourhood.It allows graphical browsing of computers on windows network. However you have to configure the SAMBA first before you can use it.

Please check if "PUT" method has been enabled in squid proxy connection method. usually this causes the msn to disconnect after a while. by default CONNECT method is turned on.
