Redhat has merged with the Fedora project, bascially what used to be Redhat Linux will now be called Fedora. The major reason for doing this is so there is a clear distinction between their enterprise product, and their consumer version. Redhat will continue devoloping Fedora, and incroporate change...

Awareness is a big problem. In Sasi Arcade recently there was a software raid, so for 3 weeks they hid all their software cds. I tried to explain to them that they don't have to hide the Linux cd's as that is free/open source software, but they just couldn't comprehend that. Flyers with a easy to un...

One thing which needs to be done urgently, is to change the front page . It's just too plain. Maybe the news page can be the main page. I am sure recent forum posts could be integerated somewhere in it. Also I think the news posted to the site should deal more with Pakistan. For general computer/ an...

No, it won't take that long. People have been using 2.5 and saying its stable enough for many months now. 2.6 is just 2.5 in the process of being released as stable. With the next release, which should be around 3-4 weeks, it should be stable enough. Hell, even the first test release should be good ...
