why there is no more linuxconf in redhat linux ? :shock:
but i think that it was a old tool and had good reputation.
and in which distribution it is still used or had to be used?

i used beoconnet ontime and i remmeber that we have to first go on the site of beaconnet and made our username and password then we can browse any site untill then we can only browse beaconnet site. did you chacked it on windows.if it is working fine in windows then better to dial through any other ...

now a days PCI modems which are based on the chipsets of CONEXANT and LUCENT are supported in linux and almost all modems of CONEXNT chipsets.
so they are LINMODEMS too not only WINMODEMS.

dual booting win98, win2k and winxp is very easy you dont posted your partition structure but when you install linux it will not distrub your existing OS,s because they are on the boot sector of your primary dos partition. in other words your C drive and in linux /dev/hda? for linux you need atleast...
