DHCP configuration

aoa
squid is configured on the server having the wireless link..
i wana configure DHCP ...when ever clients boot up the server gives them the ip...dont wana configure static ip on each ehternet

Aslam-o-Aliakum,

Sorry farhan... but i also have a related question regarding Dual DHCP... is anyone configure Dual DHCP (one for Internet and second for Local LAN)
if u find anything which shows my lack of knowledge,
please guide me... thx

You do not need dual dhcp. your single dhcp server <dhcpd> will give ip nos to all local machines and when it connects to the net, it will be given an ip number by your isp. Your ipfawd daemon will then masqurade your local net and provide access to the other local machines. Please read mini-howto called dhcp at www.tldp.org
