I'm in the market for a firewall distro. Basically, non-Linux-geek admins should be able to do minor tweaks to it, but it should be possible to tweak under the hood.
Features I'm looking for (which I've already got with the existing firewall we have (debian)).
- Hardened kernel
- VPN capabilities: Either IPSEC or PPTP will do.
- DHCP (with option for static IP options for machines, static routes, wins etc.)
- Port forwarding
- Reverse HTTP proxy
If there any distro that fits the bill or will I be better off using a standard distro?
