Salam Farhanksa,

To date, most popular p2p softwares like kaza, imesh, winmx , except edonkey and mdonkey have windows version only and dont have any linux version.BUt there exists a couple of good p2p softwares for linux!yes its true!

The three best p2p softwares for linux are:

MLdonkey is a multi-platform multi-networks peer-to-peer client. Originally, it was the first open-source client to access the eDonkey network. The protocol was reverse-engeneered using an efficient protocol sniffer, Pandora. Currently, with eDonkey, it supports several large networks, such as Overnet, Bittorrent, Gnutella (Bearshare, Limewire, etc), Gnutella2 (Shareaza), Fasttrack (Kazaa, Imesh, Grobster), Soulseek (beta), Direct-Connect (alpha), and Opennap (alpha). Networks can be enabled/disabled, searches are performed in parallel on all enabled networks, but each file is only downloaded from one network (wait for next release!), but from multiple clients concurrently."

Another very popular p2p client .Has versions for windows and linux.
Download: (check linux section)

There are many other p2p clients like for linux too.But the best are edonkey and mdonkey and xmule. The rest are more or less crap and aint that good or effective..

People have already started on making clones of winmx and other p2p clients for linux.

Running Windows p2p Clients on linux
Some Linux users also run Kazaa or WinMX through WINE. CL 2.3 actually ships with a Linux version of eDonkey (a pre-compiled binary that uses a proprietary protocol)

Good luck LINUXING!
