The only thing that I haven't gotten to work is USB hotplug for my USB memory stick. Apparently there's been a change in the procfs filenames, and that affects the hotplug system. Thomer's page describes a way to set that up but I haven't gotten the time to try that out yet. Other than that everything else worked perfectly (ECN defaulted to 1 causing connectivity problems with my linksys router. had to explicitly set it to 0 in sysctl.conf).

AoA

i think i should wait for 15 days and then give a try to stable kernel 2.6 for one and all
Testing? What's that? If it compiles, its good, if it boots up it is perfect.

test11 is the last of the test series of 2.6 kernel series after which it should really go into production level stability as told by Linus Torvalds in a recent conference but i read somewhere that 2.5 kernel was a hot candidate for stable system releases. I dont remember exactly which release it said about. Also Redhat has announced that they dont expect to move the 2.6 series into their servers forat least a year and will continue with 2.4 . SuSe on the otherhand has announced 2.6 to be in their next release.
