Bingo..
Help is here.

I have a pixel view play tv pro tv tuner.I am using it successfully in linux.

I use bttv as the driver and i use xawtv as the tv viewing application.
It works rock solid in linux!!

Now your card 3demon, it is also based on the bttv based chipset.
Do u have a ProVideo PV951(3demon) tv tuner card.

It is listed as number 42 in the list of cards compatible with bttv

The BTTV driver will work with it.

You need to use bttv in the form of modules as the driver and u can use XawTv for the tv viewing application.

As a first step, give these commands in terminal:

dmesg
lspci

and let me know their outputs. They will contain some info about your tv tuner card.

All u need to do is to set up Bttv in the form of modules, and install xawtv. You then need to configure some settings in /etc/modules.conf for the bttv and i2c sections..and enjoy!

I can help u set it up.

BTTV support comes by default with most distros.
Also it is available in the form of modules as well as in the form of built into the kernel.

So no need for those links linuxfreak.

Also, bttv support comes with the kernel i.e if u recompile the kernel, there is an option to enable bttv and video4linux support.

Always use BTTV in the form of modules. It works best.BY deafult, bttv support on most distros by default is in the form of modules. You just need to enter some alias-char-major strings in /etc/modules.conf to make it work.I will explain it later if required.
