AOA,
I have installed Redhat 9 recently with success.Win 2000 was installed before,so I wanted to Use both win and Redhat.But on installation at Lilo screen I made a mistake,I made Windows as default OS.Now When I boot my PC it goes directly to Windows and even not ask for Linux,lilo menu is not shown that what to boot Win or Redhat,so plz kindly tell me how to set lilo menu what to choose(redhat or Win2000) without whole Installation process.My PC is always booting in Win 2000.
Regards
Zaheer

Dear Zaheer,
Salam,
Sir, When you Starts your computer did you get the Red Hat 9 Menu ? If you got the menu then press ctrl + c and then you see like
lilo:
and when you press tab button then you got the list of installed OS
Linux
dos
if no then try to boot from Linux CD and Choose Rescue... After System has been booted and mounts then system Image then write
chroot /mnt/sysimage
then edit /etc/lilo.conf useing any editor like Pico, joe, vi blah blah...
Example Lilo File
===========
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
default=Windows ( Change it to Linux ) then your Linux Boot Automatically
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.14-5.0
label=Linux
read-only
root=/dev/hda9
other=/dev/hda8
Label=Windows 98
after editing the file save and exit and run /sbin/lilo and reboot...
