How to synchronize linux server time with ntp server on LAN, whats the command to synchronize the time ? ntpdate is not working.

i have 3 servers in my office, i want to synchronize 2 servers time with 1st server, currently i m doing it with Yast in NTP configuration, but when ever server reboots normally or abnormally, I have to do it again manually as mentioned.

Is there any way to do it automatically when server reboots ?

Linux Distro : SUSE 10

the only right way to do it is with ntpdate. what exactly do you mean when you say it doesn't work? what's the error?

ntpdate won't change the time if it's off by more than an hour. is that the problem? does your system report the right timezone when it boots up?
