vmware

i have a windows 98 operating system. i want to install 'vmware' on windows 98 and then want to install linux on vmware. could any one tell me the URL from where i could download that software for windows 98. i have vmware workstation 3.1.1.17 version but it is doing some problems on windows98 or windows Me. it is displaying error that 'msiexec is causing the problem in msiexec.exe' on windows Me and displaying error 'the windows installer doesnot found instmsia file' on windows 98.
but that version easily installs on windows 2000 professional. i have also visited the vmware.com website for downloading but i have not found any version that runs on windows 98 and Me. please help me in this regard
