General discussion about PLUC and Linux in Pakistan.

Our Kids (Students) are our future

Postby hameedkhan » Mon Sep 20, 2004 2:41 am

Hi,
Pakistan Motorway Police has started the volunteer effort to brief the students in school about traffic rules and regulations. They have planned to goto every school one by one and then breif the students.

Why not we too start the same same volunteer movement to promote Linux. Because its school life after which those youngsters start wasting their time. They dont know what to do while sitting in front of computer. So they start playing computer games. then they start chatting and then they just addict theirselfs to chatting. waiting for girls to come online so they can chat. Or they waste their time on IRC in IRC warfares (Personal experience :().

If we manage to guide them in their school lifes. Then it will be easy for them to decide what they have to do and what they can do. I hope you can understand what i am talking about. My english is not too good because i my self has wasted alot of my time :(. so, sorry for Bad English.

Hi,

It's not neccessary that all of us should use linux. if one want to use windows then we cant force him to switch to linux.

But we can tell them the advantages of using linux, atleast we can introduce them to linux (i got to know linux after my inter exams, that time i was using computers for 2 years but i never heard about linux. :()

Anyways, i already have introduced linux to all my friends. Few of them have switched to linux and few just dont want. :)

Lets build a better Pakistan.
