Restoring dual boot

Post by digitallx »

hi i got a real problem here. firstly heres what i did:

installed a fresh copy of windows xp and deallocated some space on my hard drive. next i installed fedora core2 on this free space. it boots perfectly. but the thing is that windows goes corrupt and now i need to install a fresh copy. this inevitably flushes out the master boot record that has entries for GRUB and boot.ini and new entries are written. so the problem is that i know the linux OS is sitting on my hard drive. but the thing is that how do i restore it after i install a fresh copy of windows that has say just formatted my primary partition and has a new copy of boot.ini --- the boot loader???

can anyone help me out on this one???
