INTERNET CONNECTIVITY

HELLO I AM A NEW LINUX USER AND I AM EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM WHICH IS THAT THE NET IS CONNECTED BY USING THE KPPP BUT WHEN I ENTER A URL IN ANY OF THE WEB BROWSERS IT SAYS THAT URL NOT FOUND PLEASE CAN ANY BODY HELP BYE

Dear shamshami,

Plz explain which modem and whihc distro you have,
Second maye be yoyr default route have some problem.
After you connect to internet do this,
Open console ( KONSOLE ON KDE )
$su
password:
#route -a
and post it here.

First of all don't use *CAPS* !!

Check your /etc/resolve.conf and make sure you have dns server entries !!

e.g

nameserver 202.63.192.12
nameserver 202.63.192.13
