Hello Folks!

I am maintaining a Lan with Squid as proxy server on Fc3. Just wanted to know if its possible to block Applications by name in squid, like we use to do it in ISA. ISA blocks application by name also. just specify the name of Application e.g Yahoo.exe and it will block it.

PLease Let me know if squid offers this

Yes, you can do this by using Application Signatures.
