LinuxPakistan :: Site Downtime & Updates

A/A Everyone,

All of you must've noticed the frequent downtime at linuxpakistan.net for the last couple of weeks, this has been due to our server locking up and the solution was to get it rebooted again and again. Last night ( 15th April ) , The harddrive of the server crashed and it went down for good , we are getting a replacement drive for the old server and inshAllah will have it back online. For the time being , We've moved the site to a new machine and restored from the last backup ( which was ~4days old ) , We do have nightly backups but I didnt have access to them which has resulted in the loss of some posts that were done during the last 4 days , we hope to recover them as soon as possible ( when the old server comes back online ). For now , Forums are back up and running on the new machine and its taking the load well . News is down but will be back soon inshAllah.
