The Internet is your best learning resource for squid. Use google, set up squid yourself and use it.

Agree with mahin and ronaldo( i mean khalido)

As they say: Experience is the best teacher.

The best method is to learn it yourself. This sounds strange but thats how the techies do it hehe. Also with the huge amount of resources available like the internet and forums like this one, it is indeed quite possible.

Also as already stated, if you have any problem, just post it here at the forum and there are many people to help ya out.

As for linux courses being offered in karachi/pakistan, there are some institutes that do offer linux courses...but there is no quality teaching and in most cases is just a waste of money. If u dont agree.try it out for yourself.

Most of the computer IT courses in pakistan (in fact most places around the world) are *s****.

Of course, the best way to learn is to learn it yourself.
More fun that way too.

So , go ahead....adopt a systematic organized approach and start learning

Get hold of good ebookz, multimedia training suites, howtos and other stuff for linux and learn.

Linux is not that difficult...but is not that easy either....it all depends on how deep you go.

You can do nearly everything in linux that you can do in windows.

You can use linux as a desktop os , as well as a server os , and in a variety of other ways as well.

Good luck learning.

IBM Linux Tutorials

Go to the site above, there are a large number of linux tutorials which start from scratch. Start with the 101 series, and by the time u get to the 104, you will know quite a bit. These tutorials come with tests, practicals and exams, they are very comprehensive.
In this first of a series of four tutorials, you will learn about bash (the standard Linux shell), standard Linux commands like (ls, cp, and mv), Linux's permission and ownership model, and much more. By the end of this tutorial, you'll have a solid grounding in Linux fundamentals and will even be ready to begin learning some basic Linux system administration tasks, which are covered in subsequent tutorials in this series. Even for those not preparing for the certification exam, this tutorial is useful for anyone who is new to Linux or who wants to review or improve their understanding of fundamental Linux concepts.
