here’s a secret: willingness and desire to learn are the true qualifications. however, companies aren't willing to hire a bunch of people for a few weeks to find out which people are better than the others (despite what their resumes say). so, they look for things they can compare before hiring: resumes, and yes, degrees.

a university degree in your field makes you more hireable.

All good companies require a graduate as lambda said. One more thing is thay you can do BCS even if u r holding an I.Com degree. BCS requires a 12 years education only. But Science education is of course preferred.

I know at least 2 universities Fast-NU and Virtual University which accepts I.Com for BCS education but they require mathematics at HSSC Level.

Punjab University requires Science education at FSc Level (I m from Lahore).

So this varies between universities. You have to search yourself. You have to see your pocket/budget and then u can call enquiries or visit websites for information. Better is to investigate before any decision.
