Arabic is easy but it would be better if you download latest Katoob from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=134448
and if you need any help post it to Arabeyes list as Sameer [ main developer of Katoob ] monitors that list for support.

Urdu there is good news and bad news:). Good news is that now we have proper and free Urdu Naskh font but the bad news is it was released only on 31st Jan 2003 and this is beta.

http://www.crulp.org
www.crulp.nu.edu.pk

Check them for more details. If you are serious about using Urdu or any ASBL [ Araic Script Based Language ] for creation of web content or any thing it is best to use Katoob. It does lacks some support at the moment but in next few months no text editor is going to give you as much freedom with ASBL as Katoob for the simple reason that it is being created by those who need it most. Best thing about Katoob is that it is GPL and is probably only GPL editor for ASBL with active development.

May I point here about the Quran project also at Arabeyes site. Have a look that is one place to learn new skills for this world and earn some 'SAWAB' for other :)
