Forte Installation

Hello
i was just trying to install the Forte for Java but after executing the java command its not showing nothng but getting stuck at a point

frankly speakin i have no idea regarding EnV variables eetting so i just followed the instruction given in help file and execute the following command

CLASSPATH=.:$CLASSPATH;export CLASSPATH

../usr/java/jdk1.3/bin/./java forte_ce_1_0_1

it did nothing just returned the cursor on next line,i waited for 4 mintues but no postive result

i checked ps -e then it showed 5/6 java instances
any idea wherre i am going wrong?

Adnan, It seems that you're trying to run a OOLD copy of Forte. I'd recommend you get the latest version of SUN ONE Studio (aka Forte for Java). You don't need to do anything at all. just install the jdk, extract the forte package, and run runide.sh. NO need to mess around with classpaths.
