can i run redhat8 packages on Redhat7.3 machines?
actually i was willing to download Kdevelop3 and there is redhat8 package available,if anyone has done such experiment then let me know ,otherwise i would have to get source tar balls

Adnan,
I wouldn't really count on it. Not because the RPM is not backward compatible (it is), just that the rh8 package would be linked against the kde libraries on rh8, which won't be found on 7.3. Of course, building from src is a chore in itself, as you'll have to build all the libs kdevelop is dependent on.
