mwalam,
Check the validity of the image. do this by downloading the MD5SUM file for the ISO into the same dir as the ISO and doing md5sum -c on it (you'll need to get MD5SUM for windows from somewhere).

Are you saing that nero says that the ISO is not valid or is the ISO not burned properly? What exactly is the error message?

-- MD5 --

as fawad has suggested, first MD5-check your ISO. you may do it with the help of fsum, a free utility for windows at http://www.slavasoft.com/fsum/

compare it with the MD5 checksum for mandrake 9.1 CDs, which you will find in md5sums.91.asc -- present in the same directory [on the internet] where mandrake 9.1 ISOs are placed.

-- ISO --

i have nero brning rom 5.5.9.24, which i hope is similar to 5.5.9.3. here is a rough how-to:

0. if the "new compilation" dialog box appears when you start nero, press "cancel" button. [if the wizard starts up, press "close wizard" button;
though it is possible to burn ISO through the wizard.]

1. from the pull-down menu, click File --> Burn Image...

2. select your ISO file from the "open" dialog box.

3. in the "write CD" dialog, click on the "burn" tab. in the "action" section, confirm that "write" is selected.

4. press "write" button.

5. (optional) play lute, nero style. just don't burn any city!
