mpg123 or mp3blaster -- commandline apps. xmms, as mentioned elsewhere, is also an option.

Sorry Pal!
You can't play MP3 audio format files in Redhat 9.0 because now it does not comes under GNU License Agreement (i.e. it is not an open source software now). Redhat has announced that it will no longer support mp3 audio format in Redhat 9.0 and newer versions of its Linux software, due to legal problems.

shaheryar786pk,
You might not be able to do it in the stock RPM from Redhat, but you can most definitely get the mp3 enabled RPMs from xmms.org
