simple answer is best distribution for u (anyone of u)... that distro which customized by u'rself as per u'r need... in other words

use linux from scretch and built u'r own distro... which is very very easy... but u need time, passion and hardwork... that's it...
if u find anything which shows my lack of knowledge,
please guide me... thx

I use Red Hat linux 8 on my pc, its installation was a bit tough when it comes to the matter of partioning and choosing swap and root drive, but everything else was fine. However , my friend uses Mandrake and its instyallation was very easy, but peformance was slowert as compared to Red Hat, so if you are sure about your partioning skills, or you own third partuy software like Partition Magic, Red Hat Linux is for you, especially when I have heard that installation is much easier than version 8.

if you want to learn some stuff try LFS(linux from scratch). it helps a lot. hardcore linux fan and command line addicts should go for slackware. gui freaks and windows geeks always fall for the honeypot a.k.a. mandrake. debian and suse are two very good distros. redhat is good but .......

I use FreeBSD... Its not that easy for a person like me, but I enjoy learning. My personal fav has always been mandrake and suse.
