get the real player rpm from realplayer.com...they ask you for name email and OS etc...give em the info..make sure OS is linux....then get the file like...."rpx_linux20_libc6_i386_cs2_rpm”
where x is the version....rename the file to *.rpm....and install it.
:p

for flash...go here...http://macromedia.rediris.es/site_ri.html
download the plugin install it..it has been known to not work with konqueror...what youll have to do is make konqueror pick plugins from the netscape plugin directory...the command is nspulginscan...mite have to download it...give it a go...or just copy the plugins to where your kde plugins are..(havent tried this one..but you can give it a go) let me know of the results..

RPM files (Redhat Package Manager format) can be installed on redhat as well as mandrake...since mandrake is a derivative of redhat.

1.Just download this real player 9 for linux rpm from:

http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xi ... 4.i386.rpm

(This is a complete 7 mb download, and i have tested it on my linux box)

After download, install it by using rpm -Uvh rpmname.rpm command

You will then have real player 9 installed, and u can play all the files real player can play, on ur linux box.

Also real player 9 has an openmotif dependency.Just download and install:

ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/9/en ... 8.i386.rpm

using rpm -Uvh command.

Then install the real player 9 rpm using the rpm - Uvh command as well.

What?

Did you succesfully install the real player and openmotif rpm?

If everything went well, then just type realplay9 in terminal to start real player.

I have tested the real player rpm link i gave u on my box and it works fine.

Well, that is a different problem.
Im running Real Player 9 ( the same rpm as yours) on redhat 9 and it works great!!

Did u try to play ram/.rm files on your hard drive with real player?

Check to make sure you have set the correct configuration in real player.
