most likely, the only driver you'll need is for the modem. it's probably a soft-modem.

Thanks for all of you . However based on the following facts I need help from all of you :

1-Its model is Dell inspiron-1300
2-It has wireless lan

However I need to make it dual boot . I need to install fedora core-6 on D:Drive partition I have plenty of spcae on it .

However On C: system recovery partition also exist if I need fedora core-6 are there any chances that i get this recovery system hurt.?

I am not sure all about this really confused .

i don't know. you could search google for that sort of stuff. my only advice is, don't mess with the recovery partition. don't delete it, resize it, nothing.

What i actually need to do is to install on D not on C but not sure about device drivers and the resposne precisely.

I want to do it for experiment sake and check the flavor of fedora-6 but not actually clear will it be worth ?

you have to stop thinking in terms of drive letters. there is no drive c. there is no drive d. they are a fiction. under xp, you can go to control panel -> admin tools -> computer management -> drive management and rename "d" to "z" or anything else.

instead, try to think in terms of partitions. you have a windows partition with windows installed. you have an additional partition (called "d" from inside windows). you have a recovery partition.

what you need to do is delete the second windows partition, and create two partitions in its place -- one for linux, and one for the swap.

if you are unsure whether you want to use fedora -- if you're just experimenting, use a fedora 6 live cd.

Thnx noman its was really helpful. Now I have installed Fedora core-6 it is really fascinating. Now the biggest problems:

I am using wireless internet services . The company offers services thru wireless medium however I connect to their server through VPN. I have no idea how to configure it and even my service provider has no idea.

Secondly my wireless card is shown in the network configurations but it does not get connected to other system its peer to peer linkking in windows all work ok.

Thirdly if I need t uninstall all fedorca core-6 how can i do that?to restore the previous drive conditon as before installation. I mean how to get rid of master bool loader etc.

Please help me further out...

Dear

Just Reinstall the operating system which you want to install

#fdisk /mbr will remove your mbr of grub if you will remove linux, and that has alot of thing requires for that, so simple solution is that to reinstall your new O/S
