Postby mudasir » Sat May 26, 2007 8:42 am

Salam.

I just downloaded FreeBSD 6.2 iso images and burned them on CD's, now i dont know any thing about BSD, and want to know how to install it.

Processes like.

How many partitions.
Which Partitions are necessary.
What should be the minimum and maximum size of partitions.
Does it needs SWAP partition like Linux.
And all other Major important Steps.

Please Help me out.

Its just another Unix, very much like Linux (only older). So the answer is depends on what you want to do.

The best way is probably to just install it and see how it goes. If you have used *nix before then use your experience.
