Sound problem on Dell Inspiron

AoA,

i recently installed Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 on my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop. i tried to install Alsa driver , utils , lib .. but during installation of lib i get error of 'BOOL' ... which does not provide extra information ... is there any way that i get sound on my machine ... ?

Device : SigmaTel STAC9228 Intel family
