hello ji,

asalaam-o-alaikum!

i hope you are safe and sound.

i have a problem to get net access in pakistan.
i have a lenovo thinkpad t61 run by ubuntu 8.04.

i tried a lot to get it by using vptcl, but did not got the dial up connected to the modem. i am not good in terminal work and had to search all this by a second internet connection.

now there came two more possibilities up. one is using the worldcall or ufone usb devices and the other could be to install windows virtual box and running vptcl web access through this.

naturally, the first would be more interesting for me.

i know these are very general information. i just wanted to make contact with you. a worldcall usb modem would be available to me.
how to install its software?

thanx in advance!

is ptcl evo available in your area? ptcl's site even has linux drivers.
