Postby shakirz1 » Thu Jan 08, 2004 5:55 pm

I have RH Linux 7.3 and Samba samba-2.2.3a-6.

every thing is running fine, but one problem I am facing. I have to manage two seprate password for linux login users and for samba users.

Is it possible to configure in samba that samba authenticate all its user from linux password from /etc/shadow ?

Not really, he has to configure Configuring PAM for distributed but centrally managed authentication which will help him to authenticate users from /etc/shadow :)

Best Regards.
