AOA,
I just got me an Athlon XP-M based laptop. I want to enable cpufreq on it. Based on the info I found on the internet, I modprobed powernow_k7, but my /proc/cpufreq doesn't show any lines for the CPU scaling profile. I added a profile line into /proc/cpufreq but it doesn't reflect it when I cat the file.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Dear fawad,
Salam,
you should try to reCompile your kernel perhaps. Though i'm not sure if that's gonna help you Check within : http://tuxmobil.org If you see anything there about your laptop Or get info in general Plus visit kernel.org , check out the patches or whatever () Get your kernel sources and su root | cd /usr/src/linux make menuconfig and tell me what's in there for Athlon
Best Regards.
