transparent proxy and authentication

hi to all

is it possible that transparent proxy and basic authentication in squid can work together?

basic authentication in my squid proxy work well, but when i tried to enable the transparent proxy i have an error of "access denied"

Salam,

There are some restrictions with transparent proxies and authentication. You could use squid's acls to setup some kind of restrictions. Also, you can use something like squidGuard to allow/deny based on almost anything from time of day to destination url to keywords in urls to specific ips, etc.
