Strangest sound card problem

Postby zeenix » Fri Jul 04, 2003 2:06 am

Hi everyone,
I am getting a very odd behavior out of my linux box(RH9):

I have two sound cards, one on-board (Cirus Logic) that i have DISABLED in the bios settings and one on the PCI slot (Creative Vibra), now the sndconfig detects the cirus logic one and plays the sample sound through the correct one (Creative Vibra). scanpci also doesnt list the Creative Vibra one but only the Cirus Logic one. So the kernel is using the cirus logic's driver to play/record sound on the Creative Vibra. Playing works but when it comes to recording, the recoding-app hard-locks. Can anyone help me out plz?
