Assalam-O-Alaekum!

I have got an externel USR USB Fax modem and it can't get detected on RH8. It is being displayed in the list given by lsusb but no dialer program is picking it up.

Can anyone help?

AFAIK , External USB Modems are detected automatically by Linux and are easily configured under KPPP
