yes, it can do that with the file manager. it might be a plugin you have to enable.

webmin is a crutch. don't depend on it. don't use it.

if you want to use linux, learn to use linux. don't use crippled applications that sit between you and the commands you need to run to do your work.
or can you tell me any other way to do this thing....
log in to the system, use an editor (vi, nano, whatever) to change the files.

that's because it isn't a problem at all. you don't have to be in front of your linux machine to access files on it. use putty to access your system.

unix has had remote access support for about 30 years.

Salam,

Farrukh bhai i have installed WEBMIN, its working fine..the main this is that, i dont have to do any sort of entry its my cable net guy that will be doing entry from where ever he want. He dont have any knowledge about linux, thats why i was asking. I know about SSH and putty, but he dont. So thats a bit problem.

Now hope you understand my problem.

But still the work is not being dont in the way i want it, WEBMIN is opening a JAVA applet to do this file managing and showing all the files that are present on my system. How can i restrict a WEBMIN user to open only a particular file not any other

I do not know howto work on Webmin. I believe you should go though with their documentation. That might be the best place which will help you :)

In WEBMIN menu OTHERS - > CUSTOM COMMANDS -> Create a new file editor.

in that editor you can put your authenctication file path.

and also after editing that file you can run your firewall script also, see the complete option on that editor.
