I was to connect my datebase server running on sql server located in Lahore at Karachi.I think i should use RAS & VPN for this scenario.
Guide me related this. Plus i want to implement this in Linux

its better for you to understand that how much critical is your data and in which way you want to access it
OpenVPN can be choice for that kind of stuff google it you will find lot of links which will help you to setup openVPN(Good for beginners) and may be you need little bit routing skills on linux to make each and every thing work
