hi

how to find a root or user password. I want to find existing password only not to change it. how can i do it.

i dont there is way to find it...local users passwords are encrypted strongly and its to hard to de-encrypt them....as far as i know u can not view password but u can change them...

there's no way to decrypt them, but you can brute-force them using "john" or some similar software. it can take a long, long time.

Isn't it amazing how so many people can type "linuxpakistan.net" into their browsers but not "google.com"?

John the Ripper will do job for you but it will take a while to do so.
