Postby nedian » Wed Mar 24, 2004 1:35 pm

i want centrallozed logging of all the servers and the applications running on these servers
to a secure logging servers through syslog, logging server is linux box but the clients are windows2000 servers, i am succesfully logging all the event logs but getting the applications logs is problem (applications are ms sql, oracle9i, ms exchange etc), a utility is required to pull these logs and throw them on the remote server through syslog...
any ideas?

how does ms exchange do logs, does it place it in a sep. file or directly to the event log, either way something like http://www.eventreporter.com/en/
will help in sending that information to a unix box running syslogd.
