Upload Bandwidh Shaping

Salam,

Hi i am running CABLE NET of 150 users. I am using this script to restrict DOWNLOADING bandwidth.

What i want to know is that how will i be able to restrict the uploading bandwidth per user.

And one thing more....I am using IP range 10.10.10.0 and 10.10.11.0....
will this script be applicable on both ranges.

i have added this in this script 10.10.0.0

please help me out

why is that shaper distributed as a binary application? do not download and run random binaries off the internet! that's the easiest way for someone to gain access to your system, especially if you run the apps as root.

ask the author of the application for help or the source code. don't use it until you know what it does.

where i will be able to shape the upload and download bandwidth on per user case...

in its documentation there is no procedure of how to install it..
can you please tell me how should i install it

why not you switch to freebsd its much easier in it.

he has to learn new things but its so easy no need to install thirdparties just recompile the kernel and start throtling.

he doesn't have to install third-party applications right now, or recompile his kernel to do what he needs to do. he needs to read the docs and learn how to use the tools. he either can't or won't, which is why he's relying on scripts.

and I remember it also support quota management.
traffic quota? how? i don't know any way to do that with ipfw or pf on freebsd.
