SMTP blocking?

is it possible to block smtp server traffic from all ips but allow client smtp traffic to remote or local servers.

do you understand my question.
i tried diff firewalls but it aslo block the client traffic to external smtps.

that's because your rules are incorrect. post your iptables rules.
