help for project (servlet & jsp container in java)

Postby sakbar » Mon Mar 31, 2003 2:03 am

Iam doing my final project (MS), making a webserver in java which caters html, asp, jsp & servlets.

Well till now mananged to work well with html & images etc. But while working on the servlet platform, i have studied the architecture of tomcat, jetty servlet containers. Now i have started implementing the servlet.jar provided by sun, but having problem with CLASS LOADER class. means iam totally stuck.

Any person has worked on servlet containers, or any idea plz do share with me off the list, any suggestions for this problem.

you have not mentioned the OS for your server, on windows things are easier due to GUIs. Try JRUN4, for medium size portals it is excellent. In Linux don't fight with Tomcat files by opening them manually, instead try installing SunOne Studio, forte is built-in, and good thing is that you can do things graphicy with button push.
