I'm a perl monger! :P

Google is a great fan of Python! Furthermore, both Ruby and Python have Apache modules which allow non-fork runs on the server-side! I love PHP though, its geared for web development!

i had to write some perl code last week. some python code that i wrote several months ago stopped working when the script was moved to a linux machine because the mysqldb module had trouble interfacing with mysql. since i didn't want to fix mysqldb, i rewrote it in perl.

it was horrible, going back to perl. i hope i never have to do it again. i couldn't even remember lots of things, like how to find out if a scalar is a member of a list. in the end, i used a hash table.

they don't look very different, and they're both pretty straight-forward (the perl one probably is more robust, since it's a rewrite), but it was a huge pain trying to remember how to do things.
