Is their any database for Linux which is server free. Just like MS Access in windows environment.

In my Openion use

* xBase
* MySQL
* PostgreSQL

but if you can not then check below link Thinkfree Office is proprity product for which you have to pay !!

everything in Linux is client-server based. even the CAPS lock has a server....

MYSQL is an server based database.
i didnt know about PostgreSQL and XBASE. are they server free??
i check thinkfree.com but i didnt find any database tool. they just give powerpoint, work , and excel like thing on linux.

is any posibility to 0pen MS access database on linux.

If you're looking for file based SQL stores, you can use sqlite (c/c++), hsql, or derby.
