help needed

Hello to all
I have three problems

1)how to add a system call in linux kernel
For eg kernel oututs a message at a certain time saying hello or something like this
2)how can I make a simple editor(text) which can save,edit,cut,paste
3)how to make a linux shell(just a small one)

djawais, so you are really serious about the editor question? Most code in the Linux distribution is OSS. Pick the editor you like, and read the source code for it. Same goes for shells. Code reading is great for getting a broader understanding of stuff.

i need a very simple command line editor,which uses concepts of file handling and saves and edits a file
