your system ships with free c/c++ libraries.

now, if you want some specific types of libraries, you need to describe what you want.

yes but these are libraries reside on my harddisk or shipped with redhat

what i meant to say(i believe i coudn`t clearify) that some type of repository,like hot scripts.com where one could search a lib wrt category..i know libs installed on my system but i dont about their usage except few for example i know libxml is for XML ,SDL is for directx programming(i could never know about this lib if i didnt pay attention during redhat installation)...noone could guess that Festival is a Speech API for linux platform..i dont know why do they use such names.."Anjuta" is/was girl friend`s name of Naba Kumar(anjuta`s writer)=)

and they're free! that's what you asked for, that's what you got. next time, be more specific.

try freshmeat or sourceforge.net's foundaries.
